Company History

What started as a business in the basement of Gordon Breuker's home in 1989 and what has transpired since then makes him especially proud. Especially proud because Gordon never visualized himself to be a business owner or entrepreneur when he started his career. Gordon worked for Micromatic-Textron for 34 years as a Mechanical Engineer where his responsibilities were mix head and Excello press research, design, development and repairs. The thought of starting his own business never occurred to him until his employer made the decision they were going to divest their interests in the high-pressure RIM business. Gordon was very concerned about the effects this business decision was going to have on the many Micromatic-Textron divisions who relied on the services provided by the Holland, Michigan division. Not wanting his business relationship and friendships in other divisions of Micromatic-Textron to be negatively affected by this divestiture of business, Gordon offered his personal services to the existing mix head repair customers, which expanded to additional users of RIM mix heads. Now the newly developed business turned friends into customers that were enthusiastic about sending their mix heads to Gordon's home. Today, MHR is thriving by repairing mix heads that come in from all corners of the globe. Gordon is no longer active in the day-to-day operation of the company, he does however, still come in occasionally to work on designing MHR's line of mix heads which are found to be the most versatile and economical mix heads available in the market today. MHR has expanded their product line, which once was only mix head repairs, to include new pumps, ball valves, and mix heads, as well as the repair of them. When the need arises, MHR also sells used pumps, mix heads and new after market parts along with offering research and development services to further improve customers' manufacturing capabilities. Through MHR's careful attention to detail, the company has grown at a substantial rate, which is attributed to how MHR provides service to their customers. MHR has several qualified Service Technicians and Engineers on staff (plus Gordon) to inspect and determine the correct method of repair for each mix head or pump that comes through MHR's doors. MHR has a dedicated sales team with a Global Sales Manager to help build both domestic and international sales. MHR also has another business division made up of trained lathe, milling, honing and grinding operators to machine the parts necessary to keep the customers coming back. Whatever the future may bear, MHR wants their loyal customers and future customers to rest assured they will receive the personal attention that has brought them to MHR in the past and into the future.
